The Adobe Rush team reached out to me with a request to design a "trendy and hip" 2 color logo for their new Adobe Rush Insiders program. This program would essentially be an influencer / VIP group for their new video editing app, Adobe Rush.
Ideation & Process: I wanted this logo to reflect and resonate with users with an active lifestyle. Adobe Rush is an app that allows users to quickly edit videos from their phones and quick upload them to all major platforms, or finish editing at home with Adobe Premier.
Exploration & Play
Here's a peek behind my Adobe Illustrator curtain to really show the exploration I did with type, color, shape, and trying to get a sense of the environment and application that this logo would ultimately be used in.
1st Drafts
Here I was trying to put together a real collection of options for the Adobe Rush team. Some of these are really off the wall, some are more traditional, and some are hard to read. From here, I knew I'd be able to get a real sense based on their feedback showing what they responded to and what styles really resonated with them.
Logo Development - Part 1
The Adobe Rush team first took an interest in this wild black letter badge logo, and wanted to see other examples of what it would look like with different typefaces in place.
Logo Development - Part 2
After seeing through the possible options with the black letter badge logo, the Adobe Rush team knew that this stacked oblique logo was the one they wanted to finalize and move forward with. I presented them with options that explored the color bars as letters, gradient, and spacing.
Final Logo
Another request from the Rush team was to place the logo on a background that could be used for the private Facebook group for all the Rush Insiders. For these, I utilized dynamic and colorful photography sourced from UnSplash.
